Madahoochi news:
10.8.07 SUBLIME AND CONCERT FOR A CAUSE
That's right folks, we're playing the self-titled Sublime album again! Check it out this Thurs Oct 11th at the Old Rock
House, St Louis' most kicking new venue. (Check out the super-fan thread on the message board to see pics of folks
rocking out the Rock House.) The Hooch plays there every Thursday til the cows come home...and unless it's a special
event, the show is free!
Speaking of special events at The Rock House, on Thursday Oct 25th, Madahoochi and our good friends Byproduct will play a
benefit concert to help out little Mackenzie, who is battling cancer for the second time. You can
read Mackenzie's story at the Concert for a Cause myspace page...
please come on out and enjoy music while helping a very courageous little girl. (There are also instructions on the
myspace page on how to help if you cannot attend the show.)
5.1.07 10,000 LAKES, BOCKMAN PAGEANT SHOW, SPOOKIE, SUMMER FESTIVALS, iTUNES, AND MADACOUSTIC
It's been a while since we've updated the news section, but that doesn't mean there hasn't been any news! First off,
we've been invited back to the 10,000 Lakes Music Festival for the third year in a row! This is our favorite summer
festival and we're stoked to be back! Go to http://10klf.com to get your tickets!
On Saturday May 12th, Madahoochi is proud to join one of our oldest and dearest group of friends, BOCKMAN, as they
release their third CD at THE PAGEANT THEATRE in St. Louis. We will be joined by the Amsterband and Joe Stickley's
BluePrint for a fabulous night of music. The show starts early at 8pm, with a 9pm Hoochi set. You can pick up
free tickets for the show at TnT Designs, located right next to The Pageant on Delmar. Or you can just pay the
five bucks and support four outstanding midwestern bands! Be sure to pick up a copy of BOCKMAN's new CD, Chasing
Dragons, too. You will not be sorry.
Madahoochi also continues to be the backing band for Spookie Daly Pride while Spookie is living in St. Louis. You can
catch a Spookie Hoochi show on the last Saturday of every month at Cicero's in St. Louis. We'll be working up a
bunch of new tunes from Marshmallow Pie and Medicine Chest for the May show, and maybe even a COMPLETELY UNRELEASED
SPOOKIE DALY PRIDE SONG!
In addition to 10,000 Lakes, Madahoochi will be appearing at other festivals this summer, including DOGSTOCK (the
sleeper hit of the summer folks, don't miss this!), LEGFEST, TOCO, BEARCAT FESTIVAAAAL, and SCHWAGSTOCK (tba on which one). Check out
our myspace page for the latest on our show dates!
You may have noticed that we have been playing a lot of Madacoustic gigs lately. At the present time, Madacoustic
consists of Scott, Shawn, and Joe, with special guests Adam Rugo (Nuclear Percussion Ensemble) and Jim Hieger
(Salt of the Earth) joining in from time to time. Madacoustic shows are great chances to see some re-vamped
Hoochi songs, as well as all of our favorite covers that we don't get to play with the full electric band. And
occasionally we throw in acoustic versions of Run Like Hell and Billie Jean. Just because.
Madacoustic appears every first Thursday of the month at Pop's Blue Moon, as well as all over town...just check our
show dates.
Live in the Loop is now available on iTunes for your downloading convenience. You can own our newest
disc in five minutes without even leaving your seat.
Finally, don't forget that the COOLEST PARTY IN TOWN takes place EVERY MONDAY NIGHT at Cicero's in St. Louis, MO.
1.19.07
"LIVE IN THE LOOP" AVAILABLE NOW ONLINE
Check out the new disc, available in "classic" CD
format (complete with jewel case and cover art!) delivered
to your door by the good folks at cdBaby,
and in mp3 format, available as an instant download from our
myspace page.
In other news, Madahoochi Mondays at Cicero's resume February
5th. Most monday shows will be 'all madahoochi, all night';
but look for some cool special guests to swing through....such
as 56 Hope Road in Feb and SugarFree Allstars in March...
In the meantime, get your hooch fix at one of several Madacoustic
shows...Scott & Shawn acoustic, featuring Adam Rugo (Nuclear
Percussion Ensemble) and Jim Hieger (Salt of the Earth).

12.2.04 Two DON'T MISS Mondays in a row! Last Monday
The Tiffany Christopher band wowed the audience at Cicero's,
and this Monday, 12/6, The
Greyhounds will do the same. The Greyhounds, a power
trio of keys, drums, and guitar, hail from Texas and tour constantly.
Don't miss this show!!
Thanks to all the super folks out in KC, Columbia and Little
Rock! The Midtown was a blast, of course, and we have
many stories which can't be posted on this site! ;)
Our first club gig with Speakeasy rocked!! And we're

TIMES!
Check out the RFT's
Best of St. Louis this week and see Madahoochi as St. Louis'
Best
Jam Band!
Schwagstock 24 was one huge freak fest! Once again, Madahoochi
played till dawn, and once again, Madahoochi got yelled at by
someone for playing till dawn. Never fear, though, Jimmy
and The Schwag love the overnights and promise that the stage
is ours 'til we fall over. Awesome sets were played by
Michael Kelsey, Speakeasy, The Helping Phriendly Band, Green
Mountain Grass, Ripple Effect, and The Schwag. (And Pepperland,
too! ;) The Schwag's new land at Camp Zoe is beautiful,
so make sure you check out the Schwagstocks next year.
Also, thanks to all the folks who've jammed out with us in Springfield,
Stillwater, and Kansas City! You rock and we can't wait
to visit again!
08.18.04 The Euphio Campout was an awesome experience
and show. So much good local music next to a river with
a super view of the stars. All the bands were on fire
and the energy was palpable!
In other news, Madahoochi has finished recording rough cuts
of the new CD and will be back in the studio in the coming weeks
to begin the final recording.
05.12.04 Time to vote in the RFT Music Awards!
